In the garden with Winnie

Sometimes I do wonder if I am trying the Man Of The House's patience a bit too far with my digging in the back lawn. So I sneak up behind him to check if he's cross.

But he isn't - and he even throws my Winnie the Pooh toy for me (see picture below) and plays with me. He's the best.

Winnie....he realizes that you're only trying to help him plant his garden!

Good gardeners always appreciate a good digging assistant!

How can he be upset? You are a great helper. And good help is hard to find.

That's a nice toss! They never stay mad at us for too long, eh?!

After a while they give in - they realize the yard does look nicer with a few dozen holes in it.

I always feel bad when I admire your digging skills, Winnie, but you're just so darn good at it. Maybe the Man of the House just recognizes your excellence and bows to that. Your cute face probably doesn't hurt either.

Gosh Winnie it never even occurred to me that digging the back garden might be considered a trial of the patience of one's human. You are indeed a very thoughtful dog.

Thanks all. I think I will have to enter the Olympics digging challenge, won't I.

Dad has talked about building a pond in the hole.... so I might be ready for swimming soon. (I think he was joking).

Love and licks, Winnie

I think a pond would be great. Maybe you should dig your own.

Bailey understands your need to express yourself thru digging. She has a nice network of trenches running thru the yard and avoids Dad on lawn mowing days when her art puts him in a bad mood.
