Dog food advert is just one big yawn

Tonight they showed the first television advert supposedly aimed at dogs.

It was for a brand of dog food - that I do not eat - and it apparently included high pitched noises that only dogs can hear.

If it was supposed to make me sit up and take notice - it didn't work. This is me with the advert on in the background.

Please note - on this final picture I am not howling with excitement. I am just yawning.
Advertising companies please take note.

Well, that's kinda silly, isn't it? I mean, it's not like WE have the keys to the car OR the green papers to buy the foodables even if we did. Now, I do think that's Most Unfair but stilll...why would they make a commercial geared toward us? Humans are ker-azy sometimes.

Mayzie

Oh Tree Rats... I guess I missed this completely. Well, I guess it must have been a Bust anyway. A Real {{{{YAWNER}}}}.

That's a little weird. Even if we love that food, what are we supposed to do to make our humans buy it??

OMG! That is hilarious!

BOL! That's exactly how I'd feel about it, too, Winnie! As if our humans would buy food because we howled at the TV screen anyway! Pish tosh!

Well, if you were their target audience, Winnie, I'd say they failed that market test dismally!

That is too funny! You should write than a letter and tell them they have failed!

Must of been a very boring commercial, huh? Sorry Winnie!

Hi Winnie - we're back in blogland!

I missed the advert, but it sounds rather useless and silly anyway. I doubt my girls would have been bothered either.

I have never heard of anything like this before, but I am glad you didn't fall for it, Winnie.

Your pal, Pip

What a funny idea. I actually laughed outloud when I saw your reaction to the commercial. I guess it was an interesting experiment. Wonder if it worked on any pups?

Oh, what a funny idea!

I don't have TV, so I really didn't know that anybody was trying that in a commercial. Shows how much they know!

We haven't heard of that! I'll have to keep an eye open, but I bet I can sleep through it! Deccy x

Oooooops....back to the drawing board for some Ad man.

XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

Our word verification thingy is 'admenses' ad menses. BOL!

We didn't see the ad. Can't understand what the point was anyway. It's not like our dogs are going to tell us they've seen the ad and want us to get it for them:)

Of course maybe it was telling them that they could only eat that brand of dog food....sinister

I found something much much nicer to eat for Valentine's Day anyway - which I'll blog about later, nap time permitting.

Scotsmad: I love it when a word verification thing fits with the theme. Love that one.

Sue: I think we are far too smart to fall for any sinister mind games.

I did hear some pups barking very excitedly on the radio this morning in a feature about dogs' reactions to the ad. They said they really excited by it..... I think they were probably just telling the TV it was stoopid!

hmm...i've been very curious about this. i wonder if this ad is running everywhere. i have a feeling desmond would go berserk for it. :-)
