Feeding the birds

Come rain, snow or shine the Man Of The House always makes sure the birds in our garden get well fed.

It's just that SOMETIMES I think they eat better than me.

What do you think?

Do you have a lot of squirrels due to the bird food? If so, you can chase them. I think that is the benefit of feeding the birds.

It's the principal isn't it Winnie?! I'm not very keen on dry bread - unless it's on the lawn for the birds. hehe! Deccy x

Hi Winnie know what you mean , unlike Deccy I am partial to dry bread but bird seed , yuk!
Best wishes Molly

Some how after reading about you, I don't think thats the case. Your just like us, we get lots of loving and sometimes way to much food.

Unless you like bird seed I think you're making out ok, Winnie. and I think it's so nice that the MOTH keeps the birdies fed!

Yep, unfair. They get 24-hour self service food, and you have to wait for them to fill your bowl.

XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

We think we see your ribs.

Momma was just refilling the birds' food yesterday, and I asked her about that. She said that birdseed will attract squirrels (why isn't it called squirrelfeed then, I ask you?), and then I can eat THEM if I can catch them. Oh boy!

Yep, squirrels will soon come to entertain you

Hmmm... I think bird seed is for the birds! Surely the MOTH or the LOTH house feeds you better than that!

Hi Winnie,
Bet the birdies don't get all the treats you get eh?

I guess you are right that the birds need feeding too.

The pigeons are getting quite fat and you are right that I do occasionally run out and give them a bit of a chase. ONE DAY those pigeons will be too fat to take off maybe! Of course, I only want to play with them. Those tree rat squirrels though... they're a different matter altogether.

Love and licks, Winnie (yes, my rubs do show and I try and get extra sympathy for that but it's how I'm built).

Have you tried bird seed? I'm not sure even gravy would help.

My mother would swoon over this. If there are two things we know she's obsessed with in life it's her birds and her puppies - well, we know she loves us too. :)

happy seeing beautiful!

Birdwatching and squirrel appreciation!! are excellent pastimes whilst dozing on a comfy bed. You have a fine figure of a greyhound lady Winnie and you will always get the yummy special snacks..those birds only get nuts and seed...euwwwww!

Awww, Winnie - I bet you get way more treats than those birds do!
