I've been enjoying some lovely walks down by the canal in recent days and I've started to make friends with the various duck families down there.
There is this family with really teeny, tiny ducklings.
Then there are these ducklings who are a bit older.
I'm a bit worried about these ducks as they seem to have forgotten where the water is...
But the very favourite duck family of me and the Lady Of The House is this little family of three. We think their mum must have adopted them because they don't look anything like each other, do they? But they are always together and seem very happy.

The last little duck family is adorable. Lucky little ducky mother to adopt two cute little babies.
Ducklings are so cute. Song takes no notice and has even had some walk underneath her:)
When you start seeing all the new baby animals, you know that spring is in the air.
Aw, those duck families are cute! I do love the yellow duck family (the ones who can't find the water)...my aunt has those around her pool and I play with them every time I am there!
Happy weekend!

We LOVE the duck families! There are usually some every year at the ponds on the golf course down the street from us. They are so fun to watch! (and chase - if Mom & Dad would just let us!)
The Road Dogs
Does they taste likes chicken? Hehehehe...kiddin'...kinda.
We has some dat walk around in da road where we lives. Everybuddy slows down cuz they is afraid they might pop out and nobuddy wants to hit 'em.
Good thing!
Puddles
Aren't they adorable! The little ones are precious! Lots of love, Holly and mom
Adopted Mummies are the best!
Those ducklings don't look like their Mom and they don't look like each other either! What a very special little family!
Aww, those ducks are adorable!
They are very cute - do you really think they are an adopted family? I can see why they are your favorites!
Your pal, Pip

XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
Aww! Those ducks are so sweet! It's very nice of that mother duck to take in an orphan.
Bunny
They may be cross breed ducklings... crossed duckies look a lot like cross bred puppies - different looking pups in the litter :)
Hahaha love the 'ducks out of water' ;D
Such cute families. Lucky you for living near their canal home! :)
Waggin at ya,
Roo
Hey Winnie!
Wow, what cute duckies! I'd have to work really hard to avoid bashing them. I agree that the set of three look like an adoption story. Very sweet! Great place to go for walkies.
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, COP
You need to take some tape with you next time! I hear there is this thing called 'duck tape' that you could use on them!
Duckings are so wonderful-one of the best parts of Spring
Hi Winnie the Wonderful
It is raining here in Derby and my hooman said it 's raining 'cats and dogs' but surely it should be 'swans and ducks'?
Hoomans say stoopid things!
Woofs and licks
Hector, Bonny and Lucy too!
AWW aren't those little fluffies cute!
Birds are always fascinating to watch. Canada geese have many of the same habits as ducks. What I love is the way they go about their bird business, paying no attention whatever to the humans nearby. We do not count unless we're bringing food. Then it's really the food that counts, of course, not us.
