Why does it have to be so complicated?

One of our favourite walks is down a country lane near our house and then across some fields to the next village - Rolleston-on-Dove - and round in a big circle (that takes about an hour) and back home.

But the only drawback is these weird metal things. What's that about?

I don't understand them at all.

I find them very difficult.

I look puzzled - a lot. But I do my best.

The LOTH said that I remind her of my nearly namesake Winnie-the-Pooh who was "a bear of very little brain".

But I get there in the end.

Today we are again taking part in the Saturday Pet Blog Hop hosted by Life With Dogs, Two Little Cavaliers and Confessions of the Plume.

If you'd like to join in and make new pet blogger friends, please follow your three hosts (see the links above), add your blog to the Linky and copy and paste this week's new Linky code into the html editor of your own blog. The list will automatically update on everyone's blogs as new sites add themselves over this weekend and we can all hop from blog to blog and find out everybody's news.

Thanks again to our three hosts for putting on the hop!

If you follow a new blog after finding them in the blog hop - please let them know that you found them on the Saturday Pet Blog Hop.

Winnie, we'd never figure that out! We sort of just go under things...
Happy Weekend!!

What a coincedence - Lola saw her first one of those 'strange metal things' just today! It's like they are built with the purpose of confusing poor dogs. :)

Winnie, they remind of of those crazy things they put in some of the doors around here! You go around and around just to get in or if you go too fast or slow, you end up back outside the store!! Lots of love, Holly & Mom

I would've been very confused as well. In fact, despite the pictures, I still don't know if I get it...

We love seeing your town, plus, we know nothing about England. You should submit a "tourist in your own city" post and show us all the cool things there are to do. Here is a link:http://pittiesincity.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-to-be-tourist-with-your-dog-series.html

We have gates like that too everywhere Winnie. At least ours are wooden and we are small enough to creep underneath :-) Have a great bank holiday weekend, Dex & Lou x

Nice moves in that last picture, Winnie! I am not sure I would have been able to figure out my way around those pesky metal things.

That thing looks very perplexing! I don't think the LOTH should be mocking you, though! I'm betting she can't figure out how to catch a rabbit or win a race!

We have never seen a gate like that before. We can just see our Momster trying to wiggle herself and three of us and our leashes through one of those. But we would really enjoy a walk in that area - looks fun.

Sometimes Jon Farleigh reminds us of Eeyore. I'm sure he'd rather remind us of Pooh.
What an odd gate! :)

That's an interesting looking thing. I guess it's to prevent cattle/sheep/horses/whatever from coming out of that area. Sure looks like a pretty confusing thing to me!

Think that type of gate is a Kissing Gate. So who were you kissing Winnie?

Good job figuring out the maze Winnie! :)

Hi Winnie

Rolleston on Dove is near where you live? We lives in Derby which almost makes us neighbours. Used to live in Tutbury a long time ago too. What a wonderful world!

No wonder you know what the weather is like!

I love those little turnstiles! One of my favourite memories from the summer I spent in Britain was walking through the fields. I was so impressed that the landowners didn't seem to mind our trespassing. We met many a friendly cow as well. :-)

I think you are perhaps the wrong size and shape for those type of gates Winnie. But at least you didn't have to be carried over, which sometimes happens to me with stiles, and is just SO EMBARRASSING!
