Sock it to me

I love my new sock toy made for me by the Lady Of The House's friend Alyson. She made one for her dog Frankie (who is very tough on toys). As you can see I am MUCH more gentle.

Like every home in the world (it seems) Alyson found she had a fair few odd socks lying around so she thought making them into dog toys was a good use for them.

If the brother of this sock turns up she's not having it back now I'm afraid.

Thank you Alyson! (The LOTH says to tell you she's not holding a grudge even though your team, Arsenal, knocked our team, Leeds United, out of the FA Cup last night).

That looks like a fantastic toy, and you certainly seem very knowledgeable about how to use it! I bet Kuster would like one of those. Anything with a rope makes him happy, as well as stealing Mom's socks!

All my silly mom does is tie a Knot in the middle of them.
Could we please have instructions for how this PROPER toy was actually made?

Hi Frankie. I'll get the recipe off Alyson and post it on my blog asap.

I'm confused. I thought socks WERE toys? So why would you have to 'make them into dog toys'??
Toodle pip!

PS In this household a certain person (not me) was just delighted to see the footballer she refers to as 'the divine Thierry Henry' back in action...

What fun...someone needs to put da directions out dere for makin' one of dose. Maybe dat is one toy dat brudder Max (DaOdderWeenie) couldn't destroy!

Bertie: We listened to the match live and then watched the TV highlights just before bedtime. That 'divine' person who did a lot of over-the-top running around after he'd scored (it was ONLY Leeds for goodness sake!) looked like his head was on upside down to me.

Amber: I will definitely post the destructions when I get them off Alyson

That's an awesome gift, Winnie. My Frankie is very hard on toys too. I'm looking forward to reading the instructions and making one to see how long it lasts! Hopefully long enough for Beryl to have a play with it too:)

Fantastic idea about socks....but we don't have pretty socks here. It matches your blanket well, too.
