Spring is coming - honestly

I'm glad we've not got the deep, deep snow that some pet owners are having to deal with in other parts of the world, but it's still bloomin' cold.

Yesterday the canal was frozen and the ducks had got their own little pool in the middle that some were swimming on while others stood round and watched.

But this morning there were a few signs that spring is on the way.

There was a certain smell in the hedgerow.....
....and then I saw some little buds breaking through on the trees....
Hooray!!!!

The blizzard has hit OP!!! We are in the midst of a huge storm. Mom wishes she could see some sign of spring, but not us - we love this snow.

no signs of Spring in Michigan yet!

We are waiting for the same storm that has hit The OP Pack. Supposed to start tonight and continue through 7pm tomorrow....if we get as much as they are saying it will be well over our poor Sheltie's head!

Buds on the trees! wow! We are far from spring here. Tomorrow we get to see what the groundhog has to say about it all.

Wow, signs of spring already? That's amazing! Like others, I am very jealous. With another blizzard on the way for tomorrow, spring feels very far away. I am glad someone is seeing some hope! Thanks for sharing your pretty pictures!

I'm so excited for spring, but right now I'm "bracing" for the "potentially life-threatening blizzard" that starts this afternoon. That was the sensationalist description complete from the Chicago Tribune.

Hi Winnie! We are buried in snow here in the middle of USA! Glad you are warm there with your lack of body fat and all :) Thanks for the reminder - I cannot wait for spring to be here!

You would have to say this today while we're experiencing Snowmageddon! They say that this is going to be the worst storm here in recorded history. I take consolation in the fact that there is NO way that the Groundhog will be able to see her shadow here tomorrow, which promises an early Spring!

Spring may be coming to the UK, but what about us in Chicago? We looked out our window and all we saw was snow blowing at a 90 degree angle!
