Cat on a cold tiled roof

Looks like the cats in our village have reached new heights in their efforts to get away from me on my morning walk.

Yes, that's about right. You stay there, mate. Even I won't bark at you from this distance.

No offence, of course, to Confessions of the Plume who hosts the Saturday Pet Blog Hop with Life With Dogs and Two Little Cavaliers.

If you'd like to join in and make new pet blogger friends, please follow your three hosts, add your blog to the Linky and copy and paste this week's new Linky code into the html editor of your own blog. The list will automatically update on everyone's blogs as new sites add themselves over this weekend and we can all hop from blog to blog and find out everybody's news.

Thanks again to our three hosts for putting on the hop!

If you follow a new blog after finding them in the blog hop - please let them know that you found them on the Saturday Pet Blog Hop.

Winnie... that cat is WAY too far up. I would be scared to death up there.

How did you spot that kitty way up there Winnie? You must be a sighthound! Enjoy your walk and maybe you'll see more interesting sights.

Hope the cat got down.

Song had one walk straight at her yesterday. Not sure whether it was brave or stupid. Song was so taken aback she hardly reacted.

Good job, Winnie!! Riley can't stand cats either...she wants so badly to chase them. I think she would probably be scared of one if she got up close enough to it...haha!

Hi Y'all,

If you live in rural areas, cats ascend to the upper limits of the tallest trees. In these parts they are usually loblolly pines.

Just hopped by to catch up on your happenings and say hello! Have a great weekend!

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

You've got the cats in your town right where you want them....unless they're learning to be snipers....hmmmm better think about this some more.

That is impressive, the cats around here aren't scared of me at all.

Hey, it's Jet here. Nice to meet you. I agree, you are one powerful K9. I started to chase a feline this morning on our walk to show it who's boss, but Mom held firm and said, "Jetty, you're so smart to ferret out the cat. BUT, it's SATURDAY morning and people are sleeping at this our, so, we're moving on." Since I heard, Jetty, you're so smart, I listened.

Kitties really love to tease us, don't they. Hope that one can figure out how to get down again.

Aww, but kitties are your friend!!

Elaine Pritchard said...

I know they are really, d'Artagnan, and 'virtually' I LOVE my kitty friends. Just in the fur something takes a hold of me and I have to bark and leap.... Kitties are mostly smart and just look at me in a world-weary way that says: "Really? You think so?"

This speaks pretty highly of you, Winnie.

Oh my goodness... I used to worry when Lucy got on the roof, when she was a young kitty and go to go outside - but it wasn't nearly that high! Hope your feline "friend" got down okay Winnie!

Elaine Pritchard said...

The kitty was fine, everyone. Please don't worry. Those old Victorian houses are joined together and there's lots of outbuildings of all different sizes behind so he would have got down fine. It's like a cat's playground.... but I admit I've never seen a cat walk round the front of the roof like that. Respect (grudgingly)

Cats look so cute on the roof. But they can be pretty unpleasant at night, LOL. Seriously! The noise they can produce while plodding the roof can ruin people's sleep most of the time. As a matter of fact, most of my neighbors here dislike it when cats are on the roof at night.
