Water adventure

Yesterday all my family and me took the short car ride to Branston Water Park for a bracing walk around the lake.
There were lots of ducks and geese and swans and assorted wildfowl (but they were camera-shy), but I didn't bother them and they didn't bother me.

The Man Of The House and The Boy Of The House were very fond of peering in to the lake at regular intervals.
The first time I had a good look too. But I couldn't see anything interesting.

The next time they stopped I decided not to look.

I really don't get the fascination. It's water...I've seen it.
Now the smell over here in this long grass - THAT'S what I call interesting.

We think we would be very interested in all those great smells in the tall grass too, Winnie. The humans are sometimes very hard to understand:)

What did you smell in the grass??? Any little animals over there?

My dog would rather smell the grass too. I don't get it. She also likes to eat it. Silly dogs who don't understand us even sillier humans. ;-)

Are the menfolk anglers?

Winnie, we can never understand our humans. Mom loves to look into the water. I looked several times and never did see the thrill of it. The grassy parts are much better for me too!! Lots of love, Holly

Water is good IF there are ducks and stuff on it. But sniffing is fantastic!

Water puts humans into trances...it's an instant on/off thing...so get into the long grass and check out the smell!

Tee hee hee! In that first picture I misread it and thought you said "peeing into the lake!" Oh, now I have the roos! I think it would be much more discreet to go in the grass!

I am glad that you had a fun walk, even if it was cold!

Looks like a nice walk. I like water IN THE SUMMER, but not in the cold winter. Best to stay inside where it is nice and comfy cozy.

That does look like a nice walk with lots of smells. We don't go to the lack often, but I did find out Miss M gets totally freaked out by the ducks. You seem quite calm.
